The Brothers prepare for a life as artistes! Liam is working on the flash and panache, and Max is working on mass pop-art production.

We managed to escape the record-setting heat of Denver and head up to the Mountains for a bit this past weekend!

The Mountains were cool. So was Liam!

Max surveys his kingdom from atop a stone bear thingee in the park

We had time for a little biking. Liam wisely ran away when Dad was coming

Within 24 hours of learning to ride, Max was already hopping off curbs. I hate to admit it, but I'm a fucking genius! For our skills in teaching scooting and riding, Kathy is also an FG.
Lessee, the scooter was a mastery of control as we sat at the outside cafe and sipped beer and watched Max go for it. This time it was, well, taking the training wheels off that did the trick. Brilliant!

We also got away for a nice l'il hike around. Even got a picture of the whole family, rare as it is!

The cool of the forest was welcomed after the 94 degree heat of Denver
2 wheels and no trainers!
It took Max about an hour last night to get the hang of riding without training wheels. And 45 minutes of that was our fruitless search for his knee and elbow pads. Mom got him started on the sidewalk, Dad helped him ride down the grassy front yard.
Heh. This morning he got up first thing and woke me up, "Daddy! I want to go ride in the garage. Wanna watch me?" My response shall remain lost to history, unfortunately.
By 9:30am he was riding his bike over to the park and doing laps. Hasn't had a major spill yet. Just outrageous balance, we're thinking!

Max poses one last time before embarking on a great experiment. 2 whees!

HE RIDES!!!

Liam looks on pensively as Max takes his 2-wheeler (a.k.a. BIcycle) off-road!

Max, already the busy, on-the-go kid!
I just saved a bundle on car insurance by switching to Geico!
;-)
In other good news, Liam drank all his milk and ate his entire bowl of oatmeal this morning! Great news, in fact, for a kid that doesn't think food is very interesting.
I refused to have him weighed at the Pediatrician's office (yesterday, during Max's visit) after they wanted to charge me a co-pay and get set to charge our insurance for the experience. We'll just wait until his normal checkup in a few months.
I didn't get pix of Liam eating, but I did get pix of another cool deal!
Max learned to ride without training wheels yesterday! Fuzzy and I are clearly superior coaches. We took off the trainers, put him on the bike, and pointed him downhill.
Off he went....
Actually, we only have videos of this event, so I'll edit a few down and put them up shortly.
So here's the last photo of Max on his l'il bike with trainers.

Looks like a pro on the circuit, waiting for the pack to catch up...
Back to the front patio for another Fisher Brothers Photo Shoot... We were reminded of when we capture Maxwell sitting on the steps at just about the same age Liam is now.

Liam sits and holds a big rock. "Wok" he says!

Max joins his bro' and takes a short break from trying to learn how to ride his bike sans training wheels

They're smiling because we promised this is the last photo!
