Max LOVED his first day on the mountain so he went back the next day for lesson number two. He rode the lift up three times and skied down the mountain all on his own.

Max MUST have been listening in the womb as my delivery doctor- for both of our boys - Dr Gail Womack talked about her sons and the fact that one of them is a professional speed skier. After Max's first day on the slopes he tells his instructor "I want to learn how to turn and to go fast".

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science (dmns.org) has a great exhibit called Engineer-It! going on now.
Absolutely fantastic hands-on exhibit catering to the young kids like Max and the big kids running around!

Here's Max's Rocket. Start with a plastic film canister (remember film?), wrap a piece of paper around it. Tape. Add index-card wings. Add a cone top and 85PSI and 30 seconds later you can watch it go-o-o-o!

Here's Max after his successful paper rocket launch, which went more than 80 feet straight towards the moon!
Max the Rocket Man!
It's amazing how quickly the youngin's can turn anything into a new toy. We took a cushion off the couch to clean the cover, and Viola! Instant jump party.
